Overheard a manager say 'I don't care if you finish it, I care if it's done right'
That line hit me because I've been rushing through tasks just to get them checked off. Has anyone else found that slowing down actually saves time in the long run, or is it just me?

lol josepha32 nailed it with that "looking busy" thing though. I used to crank out reports super fast just to clear my inbox, but then my boss would bounce them back with corrections 'cause I skimmed over the details. Took me twice as long to fix than if I just slowed down the first time, ya know? It's like the old saying about measuring twice and cutting once, feels stupid obvious but I still forget it all the time.

Isn't it funny how we're all so caught up in crossing things off the list that we miss the whole point of doing them in the first place? Feels like a lot of stuff these days is just about looking busy instead of actually being useful.

Nah, I mean it's a solid point but people act like every task is brain surgery. Sometimes you gotta just get it done and move on, you know?
