PSA: A guy at the DMV said 60% of CDL drivers quit in the first year and that floored me
I was renewing my license in Fort Worth last Tuesday and the clerk mentioned that number like it was nothing. I had no clue the washout rate was that high when I started driving 11 years ago. For anyone thinking about getting into trucking, what made you stick with it past that first 12 months? I honestly almost walked away after month 4 myself.
