PSA: How I stopped burning out on client calls

I used to schedule back-to-back client meetings all day, thinking it was efficient. After a year in my current marketing role, I was fried by 3 PM every day and my notes were a mess. The change came after a project in Austin went sideways because I mixed up two client requests. Now I block 30 minutes after each call just to type up my notes and action items in a Google Doc before I even check my email. I also moved all my calls to the afternoon so my mornings are free for deep work. My boss actually commented last week that my follow-ups are way clearer. Has anyone else found a specific scheduling trick that actually stuck?

Honestly, it's just meetings. People get way too deep about the "perfect" time. His week was probably just busy, not some grand scheduling failure. Not everything needs a full breakdown.

Afternoon calls thing? I mean, is it really that big of a deal? My team just picks times that work, and it's fine. Your buddy probably just had one weird week.
