Rant: job listings in 2015 wanted a cover letter, now they want a 3 minute video
I was cleaning out an old folder last week and found a job posting I saved from 2015 for an office admin gig in Columbus, and it asked for a resume and a short cover letter, nothing else. The same kind of posting I looked at this morning wanted a video intro, a skills test, and a link to my portfolio before they would even call me back. When did applying for a basic desk job turn into a whole audition tape?
