Saw a stat about how many job postings never even get seen by a human

I read on LinkedIn last week that over 75% of applications are filtered out by ATS systems before a recruiter even looks at them. It made me rethink how I'm writing my resume. Has anyone else found a way to actually get past those bots?

Yeah but what counts as "seen" though? Like if a recruiter glances at a screen for 2 seconds, does that really count as seeing it?

Makes you wonder if a quick swipe through a stack of printed resumes counts the same way, right? Seems like that first pass is more about checking for dealbreakers than actually evaluating you.

and honestly the first time they see it is probably just a quick pass to filter out junk... like if your resume is all one big block of text with no bullet points you're already out. but if you make it to the second look where they actually read a few lines that's when it counts. i used to think you had to cram every single thing in the first couple lines but really it's about making those first 10-15 seconds count with actual results that stand out. keep it clean and let the details speak for themselves when they decide to dig deeper.
