Can we talk about how long glue takes to actually cure, not just dry?
I read a spec sheet last week from the Titebond site that said their Type II wood glue reaches full bond strength in 24 hours, but I always thought 45 minutes with clamps was fine. Turns out the actual cure time for structural stuff can be 7 days depending on temp and humidity. I pulled a joint at 6 hours on a dining table leg for a client in Austin and it felt solid, but now I'm second guessing every quick turnaround job I've ever done. Is anyone else out there trusting the dry time over the cure time, or am I the only one rushing this?

Oh boy, you hit on something Ive thought about for years. I always give glue an extra day before I trust it on anything load bearing, but youre right that most of us treat dry time like it means done, and that 7 day cure is the real deal if you want peace of mind.
