Chose a Domino over a biscuit joiner for my last kitchen job
I had to decide between buying a Festool Domino DF 500 or sticking with my old biscuit joiner for a five-cabinet kitchen install in Raleigh. The Domino cost me $1,050 but saved me at least 3 hours on alignment and clamping time alone. The loose tenons just feel way more solid than biscuits on face frames too. Any of you guys make the switch and regret it?

Ngl, my biscuit joiner is now strictly a paperweight. No regrets.

Kept mine for two years before I finally tossed it, @noahmartin.

My neighbor gave me his old biscuit joiner when he upgraded to a domino, and it sat in my garage for about six months before I finally donated it. In my experience, biscuits just dont offer the alignment precision people claim, and clamps and dowels have never let me down. But hey, your mileage may vary - some folks swear by them, and thats fine too.
