Had a nightmare week wiring a new build outside Atlanta
Last Thursday I hit a joist with a drill at 8am and snapped my last 1/2 inch bit. Then Friday the homeowner showed up and wanted me to move 4 outlets 6 inches right because their furniture layout changed. Cost me 3 extra hours and a $75 service call to the supply house. Anyone else have a job where every single thing went wrong? How do you keep your cool when nothing cooperates?

Blew a main breaker on a Friday afternoon a few months back and had to call the utility company to pull the meter. Then the homeowner comes out with a glass of lemonade and asks if I can install a ceiling fan while I'm waiting. I just stood there with my meter pouch open staring at the dead end box I'd been fighting all week. What's that old saying about when it rains it pours.

Not sure I see it the same way @michael_coleman10. A glass of lemonade and a fan install sounds like an easy upsell right there on the spot. You are already stuck waiting on the meter pull anyway. Could have knocked that out in 30 minutes, made an extra hundred bucks, and left the customer happy instead of standing there frustrated. Lemonade is a nice gesture too.

@michael_coleman10 same energy as my drill bit snapping off in the joist. Just stood there like welp.
