Just learned something scary about treated lumber and aluminum flashing
Found out from a county inspector in Raleigh that the copper in pressure-treated wood will eat through aluminum flashing in like 5 years flat. How many of y'all are still mixing them without thinking?

Yeah that "5 years flat" thing is wild, but it's just another reminder how everything in construction seems to have some hidden rule nobody tells you about until it's too late lol.
