Rant: I dropped $200 on a new cordless track saw for a built-in project

It cut my install time in half on the first job, but the battery life was a joke. Anyone else have a tool that's great until you need it for more than an hour?

Sounds like you bought a cordless saw, not a cordless saw battery.

My buddy did the exact same thing last year. He was so proud of the deal he got on a new saw, but then realized he had no battery or charger. He spent a week trying to figure out why it wouldn't work, just like @wendyprice said. He had to go back and buy the battery kit separately, which cost almost as much as the saw itself. It was a whole mess.

Guess your buddy and @claire_hart53 learned that lesson the hard way.
