Serious question, I was measuring from the wrong side of my tape for 3 months on cabinet boxes
I was building a run of upper cabinets in a garage in Boise last fall and every single box came out 1/16 shy on the depth, which I kept blaming on my saw setup. Then a guy on the crew grabbed my tape and showed me the hook was bent from me dropping it, so every measurement was reading short until I checked it against a known 12 inch scrap. How often are you all checking your tape hooks and tips, or am I the only one who trusted a beat up tape for way too long?
