Spent $300 on a Japanese pull saw and it changed how I do trim work

I bought it for a tricky miter cut on some oak crown molding in a Denver remodel last month. The clean, fast cut with zero tear-out saved me an hour of sanding and filling. Who else has a tool they thought was a splurge but now can't work without?

That "clean, fast cut with zero tear-out" part is what got me. I always thought those saws were just for show, but man, they actually work.

Remember my buddy who tried to cut some fancy plywood with his old saw? He made a huge mess, the edges were all fuzzy and torn up. He was so mad he almost gave up the whole project. Then he borrowed one of those good saws from another friend, just to try it. The difference was crazy, like cutting butter with a hot knife. He ended up buying one the next week because he couldn't believe how clean it went.
