Stop sanding plywood edges with 80 grit first
I watched a guy ruin a cabinet face last week by hitting the plywood edge with 80 grit before glue-up. The tear-out gets sealed in under the veneer, then you're chasing it with filler forever. Do yourself a favor, start with 120 or 150 on a backing block, even if it takes an extra pass. Anyone else notice this on their first few builds?

Rushing to fix something" nails it, @milesbailey, my buddy Dan sanded a whole cabinet face with 60 grit and glued it, then spent two days patching splinters.
