Switched to a track saw for cabinet work and it saved me hours
Everyone says to stick with a table saw for dados and panel cuts, but I got a track saw kit last month and it cut my assembly time by like 40%. Has anyone else found certain tasks where the "standard" tool just isnt the best call?

Wait, 40%? I had to read that twice. That can't be right. I mean I get that track saws are nice for breaking down sheet goods but 40% faster on cabinets? That sounds like you were using the wrong blade or something on your old saw before. Either that or you're cutting a whole lot of dados with a router now instead. I've never seen a track saw slice through assembly time like that unless your old setup was a handsaw and a prayer.

Right there with you. I switched over last year and saw maybe a 10% bump at best once I had my workflow dialed in - 40% sounds like someone was using a circular saw with a dull blade and no guide beforehand.

Hold on, 40%? That's wild. I've been running a track saw for a couple years now and I'd be thrilled with half that improvement. Makes me wonder if that guy was cutting everything freehand with a jigsaw before.
