Tried glue blocks versus pocket screws for cabinet face frames

I built two identical vanity cabinets last month for a bathroom remodel in Portland. First one I used my usual pocket screw method, second one I tried glue blocks with just clamps and no fasteners. The glue block cabinet came out dead square and the joints are barely visible. Has anyone else ditched pocket screws for small cabinet work?
