Watched a $300 table saw fence twist right off the rail Friday
I was ripping some 2x4s for a deck repair and the fence started flexing with the weight of the wood. Turns out the locking mechanism on my old Delta T2 had cracked near the pivot point. I ended up clamping a straight piece of plywood to the table as a temp fence to get the job done. Anyone else dealt with a wonky fence on a compact saw? Thinking about swapping to a Vega or just welding this one.

That cracked pivot point's a common failure on those Deltas, I'd weld it over buying a whole new fence.

Who even designs these things, hoping nobody will ever move the fence?

Ngl, patching it with a weld held up way longer than I expected.
