Had a job in Phoenix last week where the glue went bad on me
Honestly, I opened a fresh bucket of adhesive and it was way too thick to spread right, had to toss the whole thing and drive 30 minutes to get a new one. Has anyone else dealt with a bad batch of glue that just killed your whole day?

Drove 30 minutes for a bucket of glue that was basically paste. That is a special kind of stupid. I opened one once that smelled like nail polish remover and it wouldn't stick to anything, just slid right off the tile. Three hours wasted and a headache from the fumes.

Slid right off the tile" is exactly what happened to me last month, @parker183. I got a bucket that was supposed to be heavy duty construction adhesive and it poured out like watery syrup. Smelled like straight up paint thinner. I tried to glue down a loose floorboard with it and the stuff just beaded up and ran off like water on a greasy pan. Two hours of clean up and the whole time I'm thinking who in their right mind sold this as glue. These companies must think we're all idiots who can't tell the difference.

That 30 minute drive thing got me. I've driven 45 minutes one way to a specialty hardware store before, but I would have lost my mind if I pulled the lid off and got watery syrup instead of glue. I remember once I grabbed a tube of construction adhesive from a big box store, squeezed the trigger, and it just shot out in a watery stream like a juice box. Took me an hour to scrape it off the wall before it dried into this weird plastic film.
