I finally tried stapling tack strip through the pad instead of pulling it back, and my knee is mad at me
Last Tuesday I was doing a 12 by 15 bedroom in Mesquite and decided to leave the pad under the tack strip on the long wall just to see if it saved me time on the stretch. It actually worked fine, the carpet locked in clean, but it took me almost 20 extra minutes fighting the pad out of the way when I trimmed, so the shortcut cost me. Has anyone else tried leaving pad under the strip on purpose, or am I the only one who made this worse for myself?
