Just realized I was wrong about using a knee kicker on every job
Last month in a Denver condo, I was trying to stretch a tight berber into a tricky corner with my kicker and just couldn't get it flat. An older guy on the crew, Mike, said 'try the power stretcher, even for this small spot.' I argued it was overkill for a 4x5 area, but he showed me how to set it up fast. The carpet locked in perfectly with zero wrinkles. Has anyone else switched to using the power stretcher more often than the kicker?

Set it up fast" makes me wonder how much time it really adds.

That "set it up fast" promise is a classic one. In my experience, those little time claims often hide a bunch of small steps they don't tell you about. I see what you mean, @clairen85, it's usually more about marketing than real speed.

Oh man, I used to totally fall for that! But then I timed myself on the last thing I bought that said "5 minute setup" and it was more like 25.
