Overlooked a floor vent and paid for it with extra hours
The underpad was already down when I saw it. Now I sweep the floor with my eyes before any cutting.

Reminds me of when I forgot to check for pipes before drilling. Had to fix a BIG leak all night.

Man, my buddy once did the same thing but with electrical wires. Sparks shot out and killed power to half his floor. That quick drill cost him two days of rewiring.

Oof, @felix_black, that's the perfect example of how a tiny moment of not paying attention can wreck your whole day. It's like leaving your keys inside locking the door, or not double checking an address before a long drive.
