Power stretcher teeth keep bending on this one house's tack strip
Second job this month on the same street in Fresno where the subfloor is just hard as concrete. Every time I set the power stretcher down and lean in, the teeth dig in then fold over like they're made of tin. I've replaced the head plate once already and I'm on my second set of pins. Is it the oak flooring underneath, or am I pushing too much force with my knee? Has anyone swapped to a wider plate for stubborn existing floors?
