Saw the difference between a cheap seamer iron and a real one today
My old $40 iron left a visible seam line on every joint, then I borrowed a buddy's $180 machine and the seam practically disappeared. Has anyone else noticed how much of a difference the heat consistency makes on those cheaper irons?

Oh yeah, the heat consistency is a total game changer lol.

Absolutely! I had a cheap electric skillet for years and thought it was fine until I got one with actual temperature control. Night and day difference. You can actually cook eggs without burning the bottom while the top is still runny.

it's wild how something simple like even heat is actually a huge deal. it's like the difference between making toast in a real toaster vs the oven, you know? one gives you perfect golden brown, the other burns half and leaves the rest pale. once you notice that pattern in anything, you can't unsee it - bad airflow in a room, uneven wifi coverage, even how lines move at the grocery store. consistency is basically the unsung hero of everything working right.
