Hot take: my cat on a video interview cost me 20 minutes and a second round
I had a final round Zoom interview last Tuesday for a job in Austin and my cat Mr. Waffles jumped on my keyboard, hit mute, and then stepped on the leave meeting button. The interviewer thought I hung up on her and I had to send a long email explaining the whole thing, which took 20 minutes of frantic typing while he sat there licking his paw. Has anyone else had a pet actually end a call for you, and how did you fix it with the other person?
