My cat walked across my keyboard during a client presentation and hit send on a half-finished email draft

I was on a Zoom call with a client last Tuesday going over logo concepts when my cat Mochi decided to jump on my desk. She walked right across my keyboard and somehow hit enter on an email draft that was full of nonsense placeholder text like "asdfghjkl" and "stuff here". The worst part was I didn't even notice until the client goes "Did you just send me something?" and I looked down and saw it sitting in my sent folder. I had to explain that my cat sent it. Has anyone else had a pet do something similar during an important work moment?

Oh man, that "Did you just send me something?" question is the worst. My dog did basically the same thing last year - I was on a call with a vendor and my golden retriever decided to paw at my laptop and somehow opened a random picture of me making a stupid face and sent it to the whole team. I had to sit there and explain that my dog just shared my selfie collection with everyone, which is way more embarrassing than some placeholder text. Your cat hitting send on "asdfghjkl" is honestly kind of hilarious though, at least that's just gibberish and not a personal photo bomb (you know, silver linings and all).

But here's what I'm wondering @craig.john - did you ever figure out if your dog was trying to help or just causing chaos? Because with my cat it's pretty clear she hates when I'm on work calls and wants to sabotage me. But a dog pawing at a laptop to send a selfie feels like either the most innocent thing ever or some next level passive aggressive move. And also, how did none of your coworkers say anything before you had to explain it? I feel like someone definitely saw that photo and was just waiting for you to address it.
