My cat yowled through a Zoom interview, then slept through a real burglary next door
Last Thursday I had a final round Zoom interview for a job in Austin, and my cat Potato started screaming at a bird on the windowsill about 4 minutes in. I panicked, muted myself, and practically crawled across the floor to shoo him away, and the hiring manager said she heard the yowl anyway and laughed. Here's the weird part... two nights later someone actually tried to break into my neighbor's place, cops and everything, and Potato slept through the whole thing on my pillow. So I've learned he only screams during things that matter zero percent, and goes dead silent when it counts. Anyone else got a cat with completely backwards priorities like this?
