Paid $50 for a 'no bark' collar off Facebook Marketplace. My dog barked right through it.

Honestly, that's rough. My neighbor tried one of those on her Beagle and he just learned to bark with the collar on, like it was a weird accessory. She ended up giving it to me, and my cat now wears it as a fancy harness when we go outside. He looks ridiculous but the barking definitely stopped.

12 gauge wire from Home Depot and some electrical tape fixed my buddy's GSD in about 20 minutes. He was a chronic barker too, the kind that'd lose his mind at leaves blowing by. We ran the wire inside a old bike tube and sewed it onto a cheap nylon harness. Now he just sits there looking confused when the collar goes on, like he forgot what to do. Works way better than those fancy store bought ones if you got basic tools.
