Picked speakerphone over headphones during the vet consult and my cat yowled through the whole thing
The tech asked if I had 10 minutes for the doctor to go over bloodwork, and I chose to just put it on speaker since my hands were full with the carrier. My cat started screaming the second the doctor said the word "diet," and now I have to call back at 4pm like a person with a quiet house.

The fact that your cat specifically started yelling at the word "diet" is honestly kind of amazing, like she understood the assignment and wanted to file a formal complaint. Speakerphone was a bold move but the vet tech probably heard more about your cat's feelings than any bloodwork results. Now you get to call back at 4pm and pretend you live in a calm, quiet home where no one screams about food. Good luck explaining to the doctor why there was a full on tantrum happening in the background. Next time maybe just let the carrier hold the phone and hope for the best.
