Showerthought: I always blamed my cat for wrecking my Zoom calls, until I tried locking him out and realized I actually missed him on camera
For 3 months I swore my cat Milo jumping on my desk during Tuesday standups in front of my boss in Chicago was the problem, but after locking him out last week I ended up bored and weirdly less relaxed, so now he's back and I just mute myself when he walks across the keyboard, anyone else decide the chaos was actually keeping them sane?

The "I just mute myself when he walks across the keyboard" part is the whole answer right there. Milo's basically your co-worker now. My dog does the same thing, she shoves her face in the webcam during every Monday call and people love it more than whatever I'm saying. Last week she was asleep under the desk and the meeting felt dead without her snoring. Keep the cat, mute the mic, problem solved.
