Wasted $200 on a "smart" cat feeder that my cat outsmarted in 10 minutes
Bought this fancy automatic feeder with a weight sensor and app controls. Thought I was being clever for a weekend trip. Day one, my cat figured out the lid lifts if you put enough force on it. Walked in on her with her whole head inside the food hopper. Now I'm back to using a cheap bowl. Anyone else's pet turn expensive gadgets into a joke?

200 bucks for a cat that just wanted a self-serve buffet, that's some expensive entertainment right there.

Haha oh man, that reminds me of my neighbor's cat who figured out how to open the fridge... thing would just sit there with the door open waiting for someone to come grab the cheese. @the_anthony you're not wrong about that expensive entertainment though. I watched that cat spend twenty minutes trying to get at a bag of chips once, and in the end it just knocked the whole thing on the floor and walked away like it planned it all along. Animals have this weird patience for mischief that I just don't get.

Used to be one of those guys who thought spending money on pet gadgets was smart. Thought I was being a responsible owner with backup plans. Then my buddy's dog figured out the automatic door in three days. Now I just leave extra bowls and water out. Save your cash man. Animals are way smarter than tech companies give them credit for. They'll find the weak point every single time.
