A photographer's random tip at a street fair has me rethinking composition

I was taking photos at a street fair when a stranger pointed out the lighting on my subjects. His tip improved my shots a lot. Anyone have similar chance advice while working on a hobby?

@hugo_robinson25's light tip reveals how one fix can improve entire compositions, not just single shots.

Ever had someone point out something obvious you totally missed? I was at a park trying to capture birds in flight, and this older guy watching me said I was shooting too early. He told me to wait for the shadow to fall just right, and suddenly my photos had so much more depth. Like, why do we forget to look at the light until someone says it? That one tip changed how I set up every outdoor shot now. Makes you wonder what other simple things we're overlooking, right?

My first year shooting wildlife, I wasted so many shots ignoring the background light. Now I wait for that golden hour shadow like you said, @hugo_robinson25, and it CHANGES everything. Seriously, it's crazy how one small tip can unlock a whole new level in your photos.
