Am I the only one who spent 45 minutes trying to get a stranger's dog back to its owner?
Last Saturday I saw a corgi trotting down the sidewalk on my street in Boise with no leash and no owner in sight. I figured I'd grab it and be home in 5 minutes, but the dog thought we were playing a game and bolted three blocks while I jogged after it waving a cheese stick like an idiot. Turns out its tag had a number that was disconnected, so I knocked on doors until an older guy at the corner said, "Oh that's Brenda's dog, she lives in the blue house." I finally handed the pup over at her porch, 45 minutes after I first saw it, and she gave me a thumbs up and shut the door. Has anyone else had a quick good deed turn into a full afternoon adventure?
