I was giving directions wrong for years until a tourist in Boston asked me for the 'other' subway line.

I mean, I'd always just tell people to take the Green Line from Park Street, but this guy showed me his phone map and asked about the Orange Line connection, which was actually faster, and it made me think maybe I've been giving bad advice this whole time without even knowing it.

My entire sense of direction is built on a foundation of pure guesswork. I once sent a guy to the wrong side of town because I confused left and right, a mistake I didn't realize until I got home. At this point, anyone who trusts me with directions is taking their life into their own hands.

That's a pretty solid system you've got there, haha. Sarah818 is right, but I'm curious, do you ever use landmarks instead of left and right? Like "turn at the big red gas station"?
