Ran into a guy at a coffee shop in Nashville who fixed my whole day

I was having a rough morning and this random guy just started chatting with me about his dog, and somehow 10 minutes later I felt way better. Has anyone else had a quick talk with a stranger totally turn your mood around?

My third eye just opened reading this lol. Same thing happened to me in a laundromat once, this old lady told me her cat’s name was "Sir Hiss" and it honestly fixed my whole week. Something about random human connection just hits different.

Gotta say, I don't totally get the magic of random stranger chats. My experience has been mostly awkward silences or someone oversharing about their medical stuff. Maybe I just pick the wrong laundromats, but those "deep" connections feel forced sometimes.
