Random guy at the bus stop taught me a better way to fold laundry
I was waiting for the 42 bus in Portland last Tuesday and this older dude just started showing me his shirt folding technique. He could do a whole load in under 3 minutes and now I actually look forward to folding instead of just balling things up. Has anyone else learned a random life hack from a stranger out of nowhere?

Wait, did anyone else notice he was folding shirts but not mentioning underwear or socks? That's the real struggle for me, I've got like 30 pairs of mismatched socks that I just shove in a drawer and hope for the best. I swear there's a conspiracy where sock manufacturers keep changing the design so you can never find a matching pair after the first wash. Anyway, that folding trick sounds legit though, maybe I'll try it on my socks next time I'm waiting for the bus.

@joel_hall17 nailed it with the sock conspiracy theory. I'm convinced there's a secret meeting every year where they decide to tweak the toe color just enough to mess with us. The folding trick works for shirts but socks are a lost cause. I just ball mine up and hope the drawer doesn't explode when I open it. Might try folding them on the bus though, at least I'll look organized while waiting.
