Spent two hours trying to find my car in a parking garage

I was sure I parked on level 3, but after circling for ages, I was nowhere near it. A security guard finally asked if I needed help and walked me down to level 1, where my car was right by the elevator. I had been so confident I remembered the spot. Has anyone else had a simple mix-up waste a huge chunk of your day?

That's the thing though, you can't just check other floors first when you're absolutely certain. Your brain locks onto the memory. I've done the same thing, convinced I was on the blue level when my car was on green. The mind plays tricks.

Seriously? Two hours is a whole movie... just check the other floors first next time.

Forget the floor number, the real trick is the garage's own design messing with you. I bet the stairwells or paint colors didn't match up between sections, so your "level 3" was actually a different zone entirely. That's why just checking other floors like clairen85 says can still fail, because the layout itself is confusing on purpose. You get turned around without any real landmarks, just concrete and pipes. The security guard knew because he sees people like us, lost in the maze, every single day. It's not your memory, it's bad design winning.
