Stopped to help a lady change a tire and she handed me $50 in cash

I was driving home from a service call in Wichita and saw this older woman pulled over on I-35 with a flat, so I figured why not stop. She barely spoke English but insisted on paying me and now I'm wondering how many people just drive past situations like that every day without thinking about it.

Why are you assuming she couldn't handle it herself or afford a tow truck?

@vera514 maybe she just didn't want to wait around for a tow truck.

Right, because sitting in a cold car on the side of a highway for two hours is just a fun little picnic. Maybe she just really wanted to test how long a single TikTok video could play on one bar of battery. Clearly, standing there with her hazards on was the peak of personal achievement.
