That old guy at the dog park totally changed how I handle my reactive pup
I've been struggling with my terrier mix lunging at every other dog for about 8 months now, and a retiree named Chuck who walks his greyhound there told me to stop tightening the leash when she pulls. He said that just makes her think there's danger ahead, so I tried keeping it loose and it actually calmed her down within two weeks. Has anyone else had a random stranger's advice fix a behavior you'd been trying to train out forever?

Loose leash was the trick for my reactive dog too, weird how simple it is.
