That random woman at the bus stop completely changed how I eat eggs.
I always scrambled eggs dry. Hard, brown, no flavor. Been doing it that way for like 10 years. Then last Tuesday this older lady at the 14th street bus stop just looked at my breakfast sandwich and goes "you're murdering those eggs, honey." She told me to cook them low and slow. Pull them off the heat while they still look wet. I tried it the next morning. Soft, creamy, actually good. Never going back. Has anyone else had a random stranger fix your cooking?

Oh man, that's amazing! I had something similar once, except it was with pancakes. This guy at the diner counter told me to let the batter rest for a full ten minutes before cooking. I thought he was crazy but tried it and they came out so fluffy! It's wild how one little tip from a total stranger can totally change your whole routine. Your new egg method sounds perfect, I'm definitely trying that low and slow trick this weekend.

Oh wow, yeah I was totally the same way! I used to think resting pancake batter was just some urban legend but tried it last month and now I'll never go back.

you're murdering those eggs" is the best thing I've ever heard. I used to blast my eggs on high heat and wonder why they tasted like a rubber shoe. Low and slow is the only way now, I won't even let my boyfriend near the stove with eggs.
