The bus stop umbrella swap in Portland last Tuesday

I was waiting in the rain near Powell Blvd with a broken umbrella, and this older lady handed me hers saying she was two stops away. She got soaked for those two minutes, and I caught up with her the next day at the same stop to give it back. She laughed and told me she does it every month, so now I keep a spare in my bag. Anyone else ever had a stranger loan them something on the spot and actually get it back?
