Vent: A guy at the bus stop told me my coffee order was a crime against beans
I was waiting for the number 7 downtown, just holding my usual from the corner shop. This older man in a tweed cap looks at my cup and goes, 'Son, that's not coffee, that's a milkshake with a caffeine problem.' He said he used to roast his own beans in Seattle. I swapped my triple caramel latte for a plain black americano the next morning. Honestly, it's way better. Anyone else get totally random advice that actually worked out?

Hold up, you changed your whole drink because a stranger at a bus stop made a joke? That seems a bit much. I get trying something new, but calling a latte a crime is just someone being snobby about their personal taste. Glad you like the americano, but you don't need to let random opinions rewrite your menu.

Wait, @christopher943, a bus stop stranger actually said that to someone's face? That's wild.

Honestly, the part about letting a random opinion rewrite your menu is so true. Why give a bus stop critic that much power over your morning? If you like a latte, drink the latte. People say stuff like that to feel smart, not to actually give you good advice. Next time just smile and keep drinking what you paid for. Changing your order is letting a stranger win a game you didn't even know you were playing.
