Wasted $40 on a parking app that double charged me downtown
Last Saturday I parked near the stadium in Nashville and used this app called ParkMobile to pay for 4 hours. It said $15 total but then I checked my bank account later and they hit me for $40 with some processing fee I never saw upfront. I tried calling their support line and got a robot that just sent me a FAQ link. Anyone else get burned by those parking apps with hidden fees?

Those parking apps are absolute thieves with their hidden fees. I got hit by the same ParkMobile scam at a concert last month and ended up paying almost double what the screen showed. The processing fee wasn't listed anywhere until after I already hit confirm. Their customer service is a joke too. I had to file a dispute with my bank to get the extra amount back. Honestly, bring cash for parking meters or find a garage with a real person at the booth.

Wait, double what it showed? That's insane.

Oh man @olivia398 you hit the nail on the head. I got wrecked by that same ParkMobile crap at a street fair last summer. The app said $8 for two hours but then tacked on a $3 "convenience fee" and some other random service charge that brought it to like $14 total. Honestly I was so mad I almost just drove home and skipped the whole thing. Ngl I still use those apps because I'm lazy but I always screenshot the final total now before hitting confirm.
