Hit 1000 hours on my kitchen shoes this morning

I was cleaning them after a busy brunch shift and noticed the insole had a little wear indicator that finally gave out. It made me stop and think about all the miles and all the plates that have passed through my hands in that time. What's the most hours you've ever logged on a single pair of shoes before they were truly done?

Damn, those shoes have seen more action than most Netflix accounts. My record is probably like 500 hours before they became biohazards.

Seriously, 500 hours is rookie numbers. My last pair made it through two full hiking seasons before they fell apart. That's the real test right there.
