Hit my 500th cover plate today, finally get the hype
I've been doing line work for 6 years and always rolled my eyes at folks bragging about hitting big plate numbers. Today I finished plate 500 during the dinner rush, and the weird part is it just felt different. The rhythm clicked, the temps were moving, and I didn't have to look at my station once. I used to think these milestones were just for showing off, but now I'm wondering if there's something real about muscle memory after that many reps. Has anyone else hit a number like this and suddenly understood what the veterans meant?
