The jerk in the orange Mustang at the Pomona swap meet taught me to photograph everything first
Went to the Pomona swap meet back in April hunting for a decent pair of 1966 Mustang tail light housings and had one in my hand, $85, pretty fair shape. This guy in an orange fastback jacket walks up, grabs it right out of my grip mid-inspection and tells the seller he'll take it, cash right now. Seller just shrugged and took his money, said first one to pay wins. I stood there for a second and then just walked off, too mad to say anything smart. Now I take a photo of the part and the price tag the second I pick something up, then I get the seller's name and tell them I'm buying before I even start looking at it close. Last month a guy tried the same thing at Long Beach and I had the part in a bag in 30 seconds. Has this happened to anyone else at these swap meets or is it just a Pomona thing?
