Debate: Did that new water meter actually lower anyone's bill or just mine?
I'm in Cleveland Heights and after the city swapped out our old water meter in March, my bill dropped about $18 the next two months. But my neighbor on Lee Road says hers went up $12 and she's ready to fight the city over it. I think the old meters were just slow and reading low for years, so now it's more accurate and some folks are getting hit. Has anyone else here seen a real change either way since the swap?

Think the old meters were definitely undercharging for years and now it's just catching up.

Totally agree @logan_young29, same thing happened with my old place too.

Getting the utility company to do a full audit helped me see where we were actually losing power. Swapping out the old fridge and sealing some drafts made a bigger difference than I expected.
