Hit 50 house flips in Cleveland this month without realizing it
I was going through my old notebooks last weekend trying to find a contractor number and I counted up all the projects I've done since 2018. Turns out I've flipped exactly 50 houses in the Cleveland area. That number hit me harder than I expected because I never sat down and added it up before. Most of them are in the Collinwood and Slavic Village areas, the smaller bungalows and cape cods that need new plumbing and drywall. It made me think about how much equity I've moved around in this city without ever patting myself on the back. Anyone else keep a running tally of their projects or just me?

Thats wild to see it all written out like that. 50 is a solid number especially for those areas where the margins can be tight. It reminds me how we kinda just grind through stuff without noticing the bigger picture till we sit down and actually count it. Same thing happens with people who save spare change for years or log their workouts, the real progress sneaks up on you when you're not looking. Good on you for keeping those notebooks, that's a real record of all the work put into those neighborhoods.

@wendysanchez those old notebooks must be worth something now, maybe even a book someday.

@wendysanchez wait you actually counted 50 notebooks from working those neighborhoods? That's honestly insane to think about, like 50 separate books full of all the little details and struggles people went through lol. I can barely keep track of one notebook for grocery lists without losing it under my car seat. That really does put into perspective how much grunt work goes into those kinds of community efforts when you're not even paying attention.
