I've been ignoring my attic insulation for way too long
My heating bill for January was over $300, which felt crazy high. I went up there to look for a box and put my hand on the ceiling joist, it was freezing cold. That's when I figured out the old fiberglass batts had settled so much they weren't doing anything. Has anyone in the Cleveland area had a good experience with getting new insulation blown in?

Honestly, why rush to blow in more stuff up there? That old insulation probably still does something, just not perfectly. A cold joist in January in Cleveland seems pretty normal to me, it's supposed to be cold outside. Maybe just wear a sweater and turn the thermostat down a couple degrees instead of spending all that money.
