Just realized I used to run my furnace fan 24/7 in the winter until I saw my electric bill hit $220 last February

Now I only run the fan when the heat is actually on and my bills are down about $60 a month has anyone else noticed that difference after changing their thermostat settings?

His buddy spent an extra $600 over three winters just to move air around.

Wait, six hundred bucks extra over three years just to push air through ducts that's already full of heated air? That's wild, I never figured the math would stack up that fast just from running a fan.

Buddy of mine did the same thing. He was convinced running the fan nonstop helped "circulate the warm air" better. Took him three winters of high bills and a guest mentioning it before he finally checked his thermostat settings.
