Just realized my basement sump pump failed during that big rain in Lakewood
I was down there grabbing a tool and heard a weird gurgle, then saw water starting to creep across the floor. I ran to Home Depot on Detroit Ave, got a new Zoeller pump, and had it swapped in before things got too bad. Anyone have a good local plumber they trust for checking the backup system?

Oh man, that gurgle sound is the worst! It reminds me of when our old water heater started making a weird humming noise right before it gave out. We ignored it for a week, thinking it was just the pipes settling. Then one morning we came down to a huge puddle and had to call an emergency service. It was such a mess. Always trust the weird sounds!
