My garage outlet upgrade fixed a 15 year old mystery

After 15 winters of my block heater tripping the breaker in Strongsville, I finally realized the old outlet was backstabbed, so I switched to a screw terminal outlet and now it starts at 20 below without a hiccup, anyone else found weird fixes for ancient wiring?

I mean, backstabbed outlets are annoying but I'm kinda surprised it was that dramatic. Like, were you running a space heater off the same circuit too? Idk, 15 years of tripping seems like more than just the outlet style to me.
